About the space

Born out of a love of COLOR

“Cupid’s Cottage” was born out of my love of color, romantic floral patterns, kitsch, and vintage finds in interior spaces. Every corner provides a unique backdrop for your creative project and was lovingly designed and created by the owner, with the utmost attention paid to all the precious details.

You book the house per hour. Spaces aren’t rented individually, so book enough time to cover the areas you want to shoot in. Booked time includes load-in and load-out.

Pink room with white vanity, red table and floral accents

#1 Red/Pink Bedroom

Inspired by the Moulin Rouge, kitschy ’60s and ’70s decor, The Love Witch, and the Madonna Inn. A vintage vanity, king-sized bed, satin and faux-fur pillows, a deep red velvet armchair, hand-painted furniture, rose branches with gilded cherubs, and 6 large homemade faux cakes as props. Perfect for boudoir, couples, Valentine’s Day, and Halloween shoots.

Formal living room with blue-brick fireplace

#2 Blue/Green Formal Living Room

Baroque, Victorian, and Rococo with a ’60s slant: piano, cello, fireplace, velvet drapes, faux flowers and vines, gilded accents, and a hand-stenciled statement wall. Maximalist and romantic, or a spooky backdrop for haunted Victorian concepts. Ornate gold cake stands and sheer draping fabric available.

Colorful tropical-themed patio with vibrant fabrics

#3 Covered & Open-Air Patio

’60s Polynesian decor, tiki bars, and classic monsters (including our own Creature from the Black Lagoon). Bright pinks, orange, and chartreuse layered with lush curtains. Glassware and a cocktail shaker set for faux drinks, plus a wooden altar “bar” with hand-carved angels.

Activities & good to know

  • Media productions: photo & video, from $80/hr with Instant Book on Peerspace
  • Lighting is needed in every space. Ours comes free, or bring your own
  • Bring a variety of lenses; some spaces are on the small side
  • Bathroom off the bedroom is available for hair & makeup touch-ups, plus a guest bathroom
  • Non-smoking home (cigarettes in photos are props), with a designated outdoor smoking area
  • Cleaned between every booking; hand sanitizer provided
